10) What is the advantage of the ‘steerability’ of the substrate?
A steerable substrate enables you to give the plants precisely what they need at any given moment during cultivation. Consequently, the plants will exhibit an optimum response, and will yield an improved crop. Grodan stone wool offers you a substrate that can be steered literally throughout the volume of the slab. You might possibly be able to achieve similar results with other products, but you would then often need to use 10 to 15% more water and fertiliser.  Back to FAQ's
